Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Spunette begin her journey in healthcare 12 years ago. She has gained a wealth of knowledge and experiences in different areas of healthcare. Her passion to help people has been instilled in her since childhood.
Spunette has received an Associates of Science, Associates of Radiology, Bachelor of Health Sciences, and a Masters in Healthcare Administration. She is a graduate of Spartanburg Methodist College and South College of Knoxville.
Spunette started her career in healthcare as a Radiologic Tech Intern at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. She worked as a student Radiologic Tech at Holsten Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. After moving back to South Carolina, she started working as the Administrator Assistant at the Reid House Assisted Living in Wellford, SC. She then ventured into the field of Polysomnography, where she became a Certified Polysomnographic Technician, performing sleep studies and various sleep related exams.
Spunette's passion and love for seniors began to unfold so she decided to get back into Long Term Care and started working in a skilled nursing facility as Admission/Marketing Coordinator, Business Office Manager, and Social Services Director.
Working in various areas has allowed Spunette to become a Licensed Community Care Facility Administrator which also led her to start her very own behavioral & mental health counseling business: Innovation Counseling Services, LLC. Spunette saw a need that was lacking in the community for seniors, especially those who are on Medicare/Medicaid. She wanted to create an avenue that would allow them to embrace their mental well-being and help gain acceptance with transitioning in different stages of life.
Spunette's purpose is to be obedient to the vision God has shown her for Innovation Counseling Services, LLC. Our vision is to become a pillar in the community, where we can serve a vast majority of people of all ethnic backgrounds, providing therapeutic counseling and helping individuals to do “Old Things In A New Way with a Modern Approach to Mental Health Services”.
