Ajeshia Duncan is originally from Woodruff, South Carolina however, she graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Political Science from Wingate University located in Wingate, North Carolina. Though that was her major, she took more of an interest in her psychology minor with plans of pursuing it further in graduate school.

Ajeshia has always had a passion for helping others. She is very quick to assist in any way that she possibly can to make the experience as helpful and efficient as possible. She interned at Council On Aging out of North Carolina, which is a non-profit organization that assists the surrounding elderly community. This organization provides needed materials for the elderly community and even provides a program known as Next Door that serves as an adult day care center. There she served food, was an activity director and carried on as a companion for all of the clients.

 

Though most of her experience stems from a connection with an older age group, her desire to help does not stop there. She believes that even if it is something as simple as carrying a bag or crossing the street whenever there is a person in need, if you have the capability to help, then you should. Ajeshia is extremely excited to be a part of the Innovation Counseling Services family with the belief that everyone works very hard and completely surpasses given expectations. Here, you truly feel like family.
